Get paid for healthy activities
Would you currently consider yourself an active participant in a healthy lifestyle? Do you enjoy walking and exercise? Do you partake in mindful meditation regularly? How about sharing your thoughts on health, your daily exercise, or eating wins on social media? If you like to engage in a healthy lifestyle, why not get paid to do the things you’re already doing anyway? Sounds good, right?
Well, let me tell you about a nifty little app that rewards you for being more health-conscious and physically active: it’s called MyAchievement, or simply Achievement (now Evidation).
Note: This is an unsponsored review of the Achievement app. I am not being compensated in any way, and all opinions are my own.
What is the Achievement app?
It’s a free app that provides a monetary reward when you meet a certain number of points.
Ooh, money? How much money?
You’ll earn $10 once you earn 10,000 points.
How do I earn points?
You can earn points with a variety of health-conscious activities. Do you regularly log your food in Fitbit’s free user dashboard? Do you use a Fitbit, your Apple or Samsung phone, or a running app to track walks or runs outside? How about tracking your body fat with Fitbit’s Aria scale? Do you use the MyLife app to meditate? You can earn points for all of these activities and more.
Here’s a list of everything that I’ve personally used that is eligible for points, and how many points each earns per day:
- Walking with the Fitbit app, Apple Health, or Samsung Health
- Number of points varies depending on number of steps walked. I list a few specific examples below based on my own activity.
- 4,099 steps = 11 points
- 8,189 steps = 22 points
- 11,081 steps = 29 points
- 13,332 steps = 35 points
- Weigh yourself with the Fitbit Aria scale, which tracks body weight and body fat % and syncs to your Fitbit profile
- 6 points for weighing + 6 points for tracking body fat
- Post a health-related Tweet on Twitter
- 6 points
- Complete multiple-question health-related survey from Achievement
- Up to 25 points
- Complete one-question health-related survey from Achievement
- 3 points
- Read article on one aspect of health, from Achievement
- 3 points
- Refer friends to download and start using the Achievement app
- 100 points per friend, max 20 referrals
- Logging food in your free Fitbit dashboard
- 6 points
The Achievement app also works with these additional apps (I do not have experience with these, but they are listed as apps that can integrate with Achievement):
- Dexcom – provides glucose readings for patients with diabetes using Dexcom products
- Expresso – stationary bike with integrated app
- Garmin – similar to Fitbit, this allows you to track exercise and sleep habits, both of which can earn Achievement points
- MapMyFitness – log strength workouts or runs/walks
- MapMyRide – log bike rides
- MapMyRun – log running routes and distance
- MapMyWalk – log walking routes and distance
- MyFitnessPal – log food and meals
- Oura Ring – a ring worn on the finger that tracks heart rate, body temperature, respiratory rate, and sleep habits
- Qardio – track blood pressure, weight, irregular heartbeat, and other heart-related data, using Qardio products
- RunDouble – distance running trainer
- RunKeeper – track and log runs, walks, bike rides
- MyLife – meditation
- Strava – track and log a variety of sports and physical activities
- Withings – track fitness, sleep, blood pressure, and more using Withings products
Daily Activities
Certain activities are awarded a set 6 points per day. Each day, you can log 5 of these particular activities for points. (Logging workouts, step counts, and/or distances is separate from these “daily activities” and can earn up to 80 points each, depending on duration.) “Daily activities” could include the following:
- Logging food in an integrated app
- Tracking your weight using an integrated wi-fi scale like the Fitbit Aria
- Tracking your body fat using an integrated wi-fi scale
- Posting a health-related Tweet on Twitter
- Logging a meditation using an integrated app
- Logging sleep habits using an integrated app
When I’ve earned my $10 reward, what form of payment can I receive?
You can choose payment via Paypal, a gift card, or a donation to a charity. Payment is now handled via Tremendous, which appears to offer gift cards to over 90 well-known retailers. Prior to the change, I redeemed my rewards via Paypal, and I recall it being pretty easy to do. (Update: I just redeemed an award through Tremendous, and it was just as easy as before.) According to Achievement, you should receive your reward within 1-7 business days after redemption, which is reasonable.
How long will it take me to earn my $10 reward?
This depends on how active you are and how vigilant you are about using apps that integrate with Achievement. If you’re super-active and earn the max 80 points for each variable activity and the max 30 points for daily activities, then you could get up to 10,000 points in about 3 months. If you log average activity (around 10K steps per day) and the max 30 points for daily activities, then you’re probably more likely to meet the threshold at about 6 months of use. When you take advantage of referring friends and doing the Achievement surveys, you can rack up points a bit more quickly.
Do I have to pay for the Achievement app?
No, the app is 100% free. No fee to download, no subscriptions, nada.
Is the Achievement app legit?
Yes, I can confirm based upon my personal use that you do earn money based on performing healthy activities. There are no gimmicks, no “catch.” Just connect apps to Achievement, use those apps to track physical activity as you normally would, and use the surveys and referral options in Achievement. Additional data may be collected from you if you choose to participate in research studies for additional points, but these are by no means required. Honest pay for honest “work”!
Any cons to the Achievement app?
It can take a while to earn the necessary 10,000 points for payout; you’re not going to get rich quickly with this one. But if you’re already doing physical activity, meditation, or tracking things like sleep, food, or weight, you might as well get a little extra money while you’re at it.
The list of apps that integrate with Achievement is decent, but several well-known workout and meditation apps that I use regularly are not listed as options. This means that I either have to switch to their preferred apps, or manually record my sessions in those preferred apps. So it would be nice if the list was expanded.
Final Breakdown: Pros and Cons:
PROS:
- Earn money for healthy activities
- Works with a variety of apps to automatically log activity and award points
- A good range of activities will earn you points
- App is 100% free
CONS:
- List of integrated apps could be expanded to include additional well-known apps
- Will take at least 3-6 months to earn $10
My Rating: 4 out of 5! Pretty good!

This is a great way to encourage a healthier lifestyle! I am going to check it out… Thank you for the honest review, I truly appreciate it!
Of course!
What a great way to stay motivated!
Yep, I feel like it’s a nice bit of icing on the cake when you’re already doing pretty well!
I had the app for a while but had trouble integrating it with Samsung Health. I eventually gave up.
Really? Hmm, did you reach out to Achievement support? I’ve only had to reach out to them once, but they got back to me pretty quickly. I know it works with Apple Health without a problem. Maybe try again now, the app may have been updated?
Wow! I’ve never heard of this app but it sounds highly motivating and interesting! Thanks for the honest, unbiased review.
Of course! 🙂
I had no idea this app existed! I love this and am going to download right away! thank you!!
Oh yay! I hope you enjoy it!
That’s a cool app that I never heard of. It’s great that it integrates with other health apps. Will check it out!
Yep, that is a really nice feature, and a lot of the apps it integrates with also integrate with each other. Hope you like it!
It’s great that this app might motivate you to make better choices and exercise more often. But the $10 compensation for all that work hardly seems worth it. I have spent countless hours logging food and exercise, so I know what a commitment that is.
Oh, yes, it can certainly take time to log everything. That’s why I feel like this app is great for those who are already practicing those habits. It does integrate with other apps, so if you’re already using the Fitbit devices and app, the info from that will automatically sync with Achievement. Yep, agreed it can take a while to earn the $10, but I tend to think it’s a nice bit of “icing on the cake,” if you will. 🙂 I’ll take an extra $10 myself anytime!
This is super cool! I like how it will take from whatever apps (that it connects with) so you don’t have to add things over and over. I might give it a try.
Let me know what you think!
This app sounds like a fun way to motivate toward a healthier lifestyle!
